Terms and Conditions for Britkong Private Hire Car Services

These Terms and Conditions outline the agreement between Britkong Private Hire Car Services (hereinafter referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the Passenger (hereinafter referred to as “you” or “your”) regarding the provision of private hire car services. By using our services, you agree to the following terms:

1. Booking and Payments

  • Booking: All bookings must be confirmed in advance. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
  • Payment: Payment is due upon booking or as otherwise agreed. We accept major bank transfers, and cash payments as specified.
  • Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your booking, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a fee.

2. Waiting Time and Additional Charges

  • Waiting Time: We allow a waiting period of up to 15 minutes at no extra charge. Beyond this time, additional charges may apply based on our standard rate.
  • Additional Stops: Any additional stops not included in the original booking will incur an extra charge.

3. Passenger Responsibilities

  • Behavior: Passengers are expected to behave respectfully toward the driver and maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle. Smoking, eating, and drinking (except for bottled water) are generally not permitted in the vehicle unless approved by the driver.
  • Luggage and Personal Items: Passengers are responsible for handling and securing their personal belongings. We are not liable for any lost or damaged items.
  • Pet Transport: For pet transportation, please inform us in advance to ensure we provide a safe and comfortable arrangement. Pets must be in an appropriate carrier unless otherwise agreed upon.

4. Liability and Insurance

  • Insurance: Our vehicles are insured for private hire; however, personal belongings are transported at your own risk.
  • Liability: We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from delays, missed connections, or other unforeseen circumstances outside our control, including traffic delays or severe weather.

5. Delays and Cancellations by Us

  • We strive to be punctual, but certain circumstances beyond our control, such as road closures, extreme weather, or unforeseen incidents, may cause delays. In such cases, we will inform you at the earliest opportunity.
  • If we cancel a booking due to an unavoidable issue, we will offer a full refund or an alternative arrangement as agreed upon.

6. Safety and Right to Refuse Service

  • Safety: For your safety and ours, please wear a seatbelt at all times during the journey.
  • Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if a passenger’s behavior is deemed unsafe, abusive, or otherwise unacceptable.

7. Complaints and Feedback

  • We aim to provide a high-quality service. If you have any complaints or feedback, please contact us directly within 24 hours of the service, and we will address the matter promptly.

8. Amendments to Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions as needed. Passengers will be notified of any significant changes.

9. Governing Law

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be resolved in the UK jurisdiction.
